Bertha Kinzky was an heiress who didn't like her mother Sophie Kinzky trying to find her a husband. As a distraction she asked the Ninth Doctor to teach her opera. She wanted a profession to become self-sufficient. She stopped a drowning. The Doctor asked her and Ludwig Von Hasseldorf to find the waste materials from the mine. She became the housekeeper for Alfred Nobel and the Doctor told her to become a novelist. She eventually won a Nobel Prize.
