The Star of Mathematical Excellence (PROSE: Full Circle) was the badge that Adric won for "mathematical excellence". (TV: Full Circle) It was fashioned in a star shape with gold edges. The Fifth Doctor used Adric's badge to kill a Cyber-Leader within the TARDIS control room by crushing the badge into its chest unit, suffocating the Cyber-Leader before he shot it with a Cyber-gun. (TV: Earthshock)

When the Xeraphin used an image of the late Adric to try and trick Nyssa and Tegan Jovanka, they saw that the destroyed badge was intact, cluing them on that "Adric" was not real. (TV: Time-Flight)

When the Doctor and Tegan found themselves in the remembered TARDIS, the star appeared in a fully intact state in the Doctor's hands while they reminisced about how Adric lost his life fighting the Cybermen. (TV: Earthshock [+]Loading...["Earthshock (TotT TV story)"])
