The Prisoner is a live action television series featuring elements of various genres, including the hybrid "Spy-Fi" genre, and was aired on ATV from 29 September 1967 - 1 February 1968. It was created by Patrick McGoohan, who also typically played the main character of the series, Number Six. The series later gained an audio revival by Big Finish Productions which began in January 2016, with the lead role played by Mark Elstob.

The series briefly crossed over with the Doctor Who universe in the 2016 Big Finish promotional video Merry Christmas 2016 from Big Finish [+]Loading...["Merry Christmas 2016 from Big Finish (webcast)"].
This short video featured the characters of various Big Finish series receiving Christmas presents from Big Finish. This included a present to "Number 6", with the character thanking Big Finish for the gift.
