Episode Names.
None of the names of the episodes have been revealed so they should be removed from the page until confirmation happens which will not be for a long time. Episode titles should be changed back to (TBA). 92.6.80.22 10:21, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
- All titles, including that of the Christmas special will need to be removed. I have added a cleanup tag until this is done. Tardis1963 10:35, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
- Which it now has been. :) Woulda done it myself but don't have the time or patience. Tardis1963 10:43, June 27, 2010 (UTC) The 2010 christmas special is named 'A Christmas Carol' after the novel by Charles Dickens, and features the doctor being the ghost of Christmas Past.
2011 Christmas special
Don't jump the gun, folks. I just removed a comment "presuming a 2011 Christmas special". Aside from being waaaaay premature, if such a special is announced, it will be part of Series 7, just as the 2010 special was announced in the context of it being Series 6. If it's handled differently (as was Series 4 which actually saw two Christmas specials filmed during its production schedule) we'll know in due course. But the production of the 2010 special hasn't even begun yet. 23skidoo 18:59, March 19, 2010 (UTC)
Karen Gillan
Though I can't see all of it due to subscription lock, this source claims she is back next series and it appears to be reputable.[1]--Golden Monkey 19:48, March 20, 2010 (UTC)
I folloed the source on the page, and it seems pretty vaige. Can anyone find a better one? Because I can't, and I beleive that without a reliable source we can't be completley sure that Amy will be returning. Hope so, though! : ) MidnightCat 11:47, May 23, 2010 (UTC)
- When they confirmed Matt Smith returning at the press conference, they didn't confirm the return of Karen. My guess is that they were waiting to see how she faired with the audience. My guess is she will be back at some point. The Thirteenth Doctor 20:58, May 28, 2010 (UTC)
2010 Christmas Special
Why is the information about the 2010 Christmas Special on this page. In the past the Christmas Specials have always been classed to the previous series. Therefore this needs to be removed and be placed on Series 5. -- Michael Downey 21:38, March 27, 2010 (UTC)
- Not sure I follow you, here. Christmas specials are the beginning of the new series. 2005 is the start of 2006 series; 2006 the beginning of the 2007 series, and so on, with the 2009 specials being a bit of an oddity. From a production standpoint, all but the 2008 special have been filmed after a hiatus, so they're clearly not a part of the previous series in terms of production. In terms of marketing, they've all been in the box set of the next year's stories. And it will be no different with the 2010 special. It's not going to be on the series 5 box set, which will clearly come out before the special is even made. CzechOut ☎ | ✍ 01:19, March 28, 2010 (UTC)

There was an interview with Matt Smith on the Jonathan Ross show, and he revealed info about the series. I can't remember it though, so somebody'll have to look it up on BBC iPlayer, because Episode 6 was revealed. {{SUBST:User:Tigernose/sig}} 17:36, March 29, 2010 (UTC)

unconfirmed cast
If it's unconfirmed - why have it in the article? 188.221.79.22 19:32, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
Joanna Page has not been confirmed either - The reference won't load, but the original story was by a less-than-reputable tabloid newspaper 'The Daily Star'. Both Page and the BBC have since denied involvement. So she needs to be removed... and people should be more careful over the use of the word 'confirmed'86.184.48.234 01:32, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
Series numbering
Moffat's made it very clear that this is not series 6, period. The internal production numbering will be "2". Maybe we should stick with "32".
67.241.25.16 02:09, April 18, 2010 (UTC)
The reason he made is clear that this isn't season 6 is because he was afraid of losing big name sponsors, who are usually put off by a season 6 kind of thing. Nobody's really sure how to refer to it yet. Or at least, BBC isn't. Musedae 19:50, May 4, 2010 (UTC)
Same as Series 5... we still aren't clear on that either! --The Brig 10:40, July 27, 2010 (UTC)
Joanna Page
- The rumour had been removed by Mini-Mitch for no reason so I re-added. It has been confirmed by the Daily Star and I know they have had some un-true information in the past but they have also had some truths.(example of the titles for series 5 finale, months before the first title being confirmed) so it shall remain in the rumours page until properly confired or denied. -- Michael Downey 18:56, May 28, 2010 (UTC)
Rory
How do you know that it is likely Rory will return? 72.82.17.84 00:52, May 31, 2010 (UTC)
He won't be appearing in Series 6. But he will make an appearance in the Christmas Special 2010 due to Amy and Rory's honeymoon. Because Amy can't have a honeymoon by herself. Who7 09:57, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
It is highly unlikely that he will not be in series 6 considering Moffat said he would. Several times. The Thirteenth Doctor 12:01, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
It has been confirmed by Stephen Moffat that Rory will be a regular in this series; in DWM 426 he talks of the series split and the "enormous, game-changing cliffhanger for the Doctor, Amy and Rory", and Neil Gaiman confirms he wrote for Rory in DWM 427. Other multiple sources have since supported this, so could someone change the article so that it says Arthur Darvill will return along with Matt and Karen? Thanks 92.235.135.70 18:31, November 9, 2010 (UTC)
Enemies
Although no enemies have been confirmed, I'd love to see the return of Daleks, Weeping Angels, a Torchwood monster (like the Weevils) and a classic monster (like the Zygons) And since the Daleks have appeared in every other series, it is highly likely they will return. Also I'd like to see some new monsters (for at least 4 of the 10 stories)Fallen5 19:33, May 31, 2010 (UTC)
- The Weeping Angels shouldn't return for at least another series. Anyway, this shouldn't be discussed here. Use the forums. User:Solar Dragon/Signature 19:45, May 3
- one enemy has been confirmed by stevan moffat and that is the silence look it up on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ihzu-OPa4g4
- The only enemy that appears to be confirmed is the flying Shark in the 2010 Christmas Special which, if the conclusion of the third Adventure Game was correct, suggests the Christmas Special begins in London in the twenty-third century after the Great Flood. 86.170.161.145 22:56, August 27, 2010 (UTC)
It's very unlikely that the Christmas special will be straight on following the third Adventure Game for a few reasons.
1. Rory is going to appear as it is their honeymoon and there is no Rory in the games
2. The special is going to have a Christmas Carol twist and I heavily doubt that there will be a shark from the 23rd century there.

Omega
Why do people keep insisting that Omega will return? I've seen the rumors, and that's all they are obviously, flying around all through the build-up for Season 5 and now, not 24 hours after the finale to Season 5 has aired, people are once again insisting that Omega will return in Season 6. Let us remember that Omega is a Time Lord and all the Time Lords are gone, except The Doctor. I know, I know...they brought back The Master (why wouldn't they? he's been a recurring Doctor Who foe for a long, long time) and, very briefly, Rassillon, but that was only for a two-part finale episode. Omega does not qualify as a major foe, and in all honesty doesn't deserve to come back (my opinion only). Let's stop the Omega rumors. ScoutDaddy70 15:00, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
- Omega could come back because he's in the antimatter universe, and may not have even partisipated in the Time war. He could be breaking through to this universe again and thats whats causing the cracks, it just a possibility. Evilyoda 19:28, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
- I understand all that, however, for it to be an actual "spoiler" it needs to be based somewhere, somehow, on some facts. Has there been discussion of Omega from Moffat? Have the actors let slip anything? Or is all this Omega talk just the talk of fans hoping it is Omega? That's what I mean. Are people just wishing or are there concrete facts to back up this rumor? ScoutDaddy70 11:59, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
There's no evidence in canon to support specifically the return of Omega whatsoever. It's just a rumour made up on the turd of a website that is Gallifrey Base with no evidence to support the assertion. It shouldn't appear in the article, or even the Big Bang one if we're to stay true to Wiki principles. Blightsoot 12:16, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
I agree you shouldn't bring Omega back. He is an old series enemy, and Moffat is trying to create new enemies. The only old enemies he'll bring back are Daleks, Cybermen, maybe The Master and then only the old monsters that were in the alliance (though most of them may not return). Omega is unlikely to return.Fallen5 14:00, July 3, 2010 (UTC)
In one interview (I don't remember where) Moffat referred to the Silence as being plural. This would seem to discount that idea that Omega is the Silence. If Moffat ever did bring back a character like Omega, he would probably do it in the same way he handled the Dream Lord/Valeyard connections, with implied rather than explicit links to the actual character from classic Who. But I'm pretty sure the Silence is something entirely new. Bluebox444 12:51, July 14, 2010 (UTC)
I agree. Yes Rasillon and The Master have both returned at least once (The Master 5 to 6 times) but Omega has absolutley no reason to return. Unless at least one person that has anything to do with the making of Series 6 is in love with the episode that has Omega in it (which I doubt and I havnt seen it so I cant really explain this too well so dont comment on this) I believe that almost everyone that had something to do with the show all together has forgotten almost completeley about him, sort of like with amy and rory before the season finale. What I want to know is how the doctor escapes, Amy comes back to life , how rory regained control, and how the girl the doctor told to fly the TARDIS to his location (I cant remember her name) survives the explosion, and my biggest question about series 6... How the tardis returns from the ashes of the explosion. If anyone has any ideas on how or finds something that mentions something about any of these questions please dont hesitate to post them.
Well I think it would be rather difficult for Omega to return since he was destroyed when Patrick Houghton's flute fell into the Tardis's forcefield generator (making it not converted to anitmatter), and when Omega knocked the forcefield generator out of Houghton's hands the anitmatter and matter collided and collapsed the blackhole that led into the anitmatter world, turning it into a supernova.≤DreamMaster≥
The 2nd Doctor's recorder somehow didn't kill him, because he was in Arc of Infinity (TV story). Doctor Who kills off villains, and then brings them back all the time. Davros died in almost every episode he was in, The Master died in a few episodes of the classic series, the TV Movie, and twice in the new series, the Daleks were completely destroyed in most of their ninth and tenth doctor episodes. In Doctor Who, just because an enemy has been completely destroyed, it doesn't mean they will never return, so Moffat could bring back Omega if he wanted to.Icecreamdif 22:03, September 27, 2010 (UTC)
Toy Maker
He Could be in episode three the one in the doll house. Joshoedit 20:29, October 2, 2010 (UTC)
I think thats likely, after all episode three is rumoured to be set in a dolls house, and on set pitures of monster dolls are now avadidble, and in the "Celestral Toy Maker" he did make the doctors companions face his dolls, and a few of the challanges were set in a giant doll house.
So what do you think? General MGD 109
Moffat has also said no classic enemies will be returning this series. --The Brig 22:33, December 26, 2010 (UTC)

"No classic monsters in series 6.." Isn't that what they said LAST YEAR? and we got Daleks, Cybermen, Slurians & Sontarens Joshoedit 19:06, December 1, 2010 (UTC)
Another source also says the Mara is returning. One of them is wrong, but which one? (PS: I'm not sure if Omega is classified as a "monster" anyway... more of a person, really.) The Nth Doctor 21:58, December 6, 2010 (UTC)

Myths printed in widely-read sources
I noticed that some of the rumours which have been debunked have been removed. Of course we can't keep track of all the rumours and it makes sense to cull some of the ones that prove to be false. However, I wonder if there should be an exception for media with a large distribution - if only to record that a mistake was picked up by outside media and widely reported. For example, the rumour about Joanna Page appeared in the Daily Star, a printed newspaper which claims 1,701 million readers (is that comma for a decimal point? Is that common in the UK?) The rumour about Matt Smith leaving was also picked up by Virgin Media on their TV News web video, and I'm not sure where to stand on that one - although I think the rumour itself can probably be traced back to one blog. These rumours won't count as unsourced, as you can cite where they were found - but they're not true. Where do we stand on these? the angel Jean - Smith's little elf 11:45, July 26, 2010 (UTC)
- I've put them back. Nothing, save vandalism, should be removed without discussion first. These rumours should stay. They're actually important. We're here to document things related to Doctor Who, including rumours about the show, that's why we have the section. I mean, Matt Smith leaving. That's a really important rumour, and should stay. I have no idea why it was removed. We keep them all until the series ends, otherwise people who don't visit often read the sources of these rumours, then add them to the page and we simply have to remove them again. It's just easier to keep them until the series airs. The Thirteenth Doctor 17:35, July 26, 2010 (UTC)
- Should the rumour about Joanna Page, printed in the Daily Star, be put back in then? I mention this because the previous editor, who removed the other rumours, had previously lost an argument about the same thing - he said that the rumour about Joanna Page should be reinstated, but despite this the rumour was removed. So I can see why he would have been confused about what should stay and what should go. For consistency, the rumour should be reinstated (as a debunked one, in the Rumours section) ... right? the angel Jean - Smith's little elf 07:03, July 27, 2010 (UTC)
- No, that rumour was for a series which is past. Everyone knows that she didn't appear, so they won't be adding it to the series page as they know she didn't appear. The rumours should only be there until the series airs. It'll save more work in the long run. --The Thirteenth Doctor 09:28, July 27, 2010 (UTC)
Tom Baker's return.
It is rumored that Tom Baker may return for a multi-doctor episode.Any information on this?
Tom Baker may return:http://lifetheuniverseandcombom.blogspot.com/2010/03/tom-baker-to-be-in-doctor-who-series-6.html
So should we list Tom Baker as a rumored return?
The rumors sound extremely vague, and they don't reference anything beyond "discussions"... even the source sounds uncertain about it. I'd say wait. 159.28.161.150 06:27, September 20, 2010 (UTC)
Series 6 & Series 7
We need to change the template for the episodes so that it only shows 7 episodes and then add Series 7 because Moffat has confirmed they are 2 seperate series now. Does anyone know how to do that? :)
- No. All that has been said is that series 6 will be split into two halves. This is different than two different series. Many American shows have a break half way through, which is what this is, not an entirely new series. The Thirteenth Doctor 12:03, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
- Actually to agree with whoever wrote the first statement, Steven Moffat has confirmed the split will be two seperate series rather than a continuation in this interview. http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/video/2010/aug/29/doctor-who-cliffhanger-video) -- Michael Downey 12:39, August 30, 2010 (UTC).
- To be fair Moffat also called Series 5 Series 31 for a time, for now as with the discussion regarding 'Series 5 and what to call it' I think we need to wait for confirmation from the BBC, not just from Moffat. --Tangerineduel 13:55, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
- And Moffat also said it would be called series one.
- One thing from the video to note is he said that one series, "by the standard of any other drama series", is double the length. He then said it would be in Easter and the rest in autumn in "series seven", "I suppose". One other thing to bring up then is Matt Smith's run. It was said he'd stay for another three series, but is this meaning the half-series? --The Thirteenth Doctor 16:33, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
- another article: http://www.kasterborous.com/2010/08/29/more-series-6-split-details/ shows that there will be two series instead of splitting. maybe its time to split the article accordingly. Revanvolatrelundar 16:58, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
- That article is based on the video in the first link. Like Tangerineduel said, it's best to wait for a BBC source. Although he's head writer, Moffat doesn't decide what is classed as a series. The Thirteenth Doctor 17:11, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

The Doctor meets the Queen Mother
I'm wanting to add this rumour. The original source for the above teasers is here and number ten states "4 August 1982 – Happy Birthday, Ma’am." Fourth August was the Queen Mother's birthday, and the Ma'am implies it is a queen or someone of royalty. Also, number 39, "Octavian wasn’t lying." implies that he meets Octavian again. Any objections to adding these? The Thirteenth Doctor 16:57, October 2, 2010 (UTC)
Octavian does not return. Not that I know of. Number 39 "Octavian Wasn't Lying", means that what he said about River killing a man was true. That could be something we find in Series 6 next year. Who7 09:33, October 3, 2010 (UTC)
- What exactly says he isn't returning? Octavian wasn't lying can refer to several things, including the "I think you know me at my best". This line implies he was worse off and that the Doctor would meet Octavian's past self. --The Thirteenth Doctor 11:13, October 3, 2010 (UTC)
