Series 7 of Doctor Who is set to air on BBC One throughout 2012 and 2013.[1] The BBC announced the news of the new series, which will contain fourteen episodes, on the official Doctor Who site on the 8th June 2011.[2]
Series 7 will begin its run in the Autumn of 2012.[3]

It has been announced that the Eleventh Doctor, played by Matt Smith will return for the full series[5]. Karen Gillan, who plays Amy Pond will return for the series[6], as will her husband Rory Williams, played by Arthur Darvill[7]. The extent of Gillan and Darvill's involvement in Series 7, however, has not yet been confirmed.
