Miss Lanchester was a resident at Mrs Hutchings' guest house.

She scolded the First Doctor for eating ice cream at his age.

When Jeff Atkins and his Pakistani wife, Ujwala, arrived at the guest house with their son Craig, Miss Lanchester disapproved and told Mrs Hutchings that she would be moving in with her friend.
