North Pole

The North Pole was the northernmost point on Earth, located in the Arctic ocean.

History

3rd Millenium B.C.

Around 3000 BC, Ice Warrior Grand Marshal Skaldak was frozen in the ice. (TV: Cold War)

19th Century

The Tenth Doctor took Martha Jones to the North Pole sometime between 1888 and 1892. Martha was the first person to walk on the North Pole, but the Doctor erased her footsteps so they wouldn't spoil it for anyone else. (PROSE: The Frozen Wastes)

20th Century

In 1983, the Soviet submarine, the Firebird picked up Skaldak and he woke up. After Skaldak was attacked by a cattle prod, he tried attacking humanity by launching a nuclear missile from the submarine, causing the other powers to strike back. An Ice Warrior ship rescued the submarine and Skaldak was taken aboard. (TV: Cold War)

21st Century

Martha and the Tenth Doctor visited the The North Pole Experience at some point between 2088 and 2092, built on the exact spot Martha had taken her first steps on the North Pole. (PROSE: The Frozen Wastes)

22nd Century

In 2106, when the New Dalek Paradigm invaded London using a piece of the Eternity Clock, the Eleventh Doctor and River Song infiltrated the Dalek Command Node and hacked into the transmat system to send the Supreme Dalek to the North Pole. (GAME: The Eternity Clock)

Undated events

Santa Claus used to keep his workshop at the North Pole, but due to the noisy aeroplanes which began flying overhead, he moved it off Earth and onto another planet. (COMIC: A Christmas Story)

Myths

The North Pole was often falsely believed to have penguins and clockwork penguins were even sold at the North Pole's interactive museum. The Tenth Doctor was greatly aggravated by this myth. (PROSE: The Frozen Wastes)
