Alvar Chambers was a human multi-trillionaire in the 22nd century who owned the Earth's air and its chemical constituents.
He was 143 years old when the Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler landed on the Martian cruise ship he had hired for his nineteenth wedding to Susannah. An entity had possessed him by that time, and his body died after it had eaten Alvar alive. (COMIC: The Cruel Sea)
