The Doctor wore several different kinds of jackets throughout his life. The Second Doctor wore a rumpled black suit jacket, (TV: The Power of the Daleks onwards) while Third Doctor wore numerous velvet smoking jackets of many different colours. (TV: Spearhead from Space onwards) The Fourth Doctor briefly wore a red corduroy shooting jacket following his regeneration. (TV: Robot - Terror of the Zygons) The Seventh Doctor wore several jackets of varied colour, (TV: Time and the Rani, Battlefield) including one made of linen.
