Richard Cromwell

Richard Cromwell was Oliver Cromwell's son and the Lord Protector of England, Scotland and Ireland for only a few months after his death.

In 1648, he was in his twenties and was long-haired and thin, with pale and waxy complexion.

He found a history book the First Doctor lost, which revealed that he would be a failure. He tried to show the book to his father, who refused to see it. Devastated, he returned the book to the Doctor. He was then hypnotised to forget what he had read. He died in 1712.

His rule was not very popular and earned him the nickname of "Tumbledown Dick". (PROSE: The Roundheads)
