Outside of ''[[Doctor Who]]'',  he is perhaps best known for his role in the [[British]] comedy television series {{wi|The Goodies}} with [[Tim Brooke-Taylor]] and [[Graeme Garden]]. The show ran from 1970-1980 on the [[BBC]] and 1980-1982 on [[ATV]], when the Beeb cancelled the show the budget reportedly went to making [[The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy]] tv series. After the Goodies finished the trio created, wrote and provided the voices for the tv kids cartoon series ''Bananaman'' in the mid 80's.

Bill Oddie voiced Red Jasper in the Big Finish Doctor Who audio story Doctor Who and the Pirates. He also contributed to the charity reference book Behind the Sofa: Celebrity Memories of Doctor Who.
