Longships, also called longboats, were a type of sea vehicle used by the Vikings.
In the 9th century,[1] the Twelfth Doctor and Clara Oswald were captured by Viking warriors and taken two days by longboat to their village. (TV: The Girl Who Died)
In 1066, the Monk planned to destroy the Vikings' fleet of longships with an atomic cannon to prevent King Harold Godwinson from having to fight King Harald Hardrada at Stamford Bridge, thus allowing King Harold to defeat William the Conqueror in the Battle of Hastings.
