The recently released [[At Childhood's End]] basically throws away all the Big Finish and novels apart from the Past Doctor's Adventures particularly Illegal Alien as part of Ace's possible timeline. I'm surprised Sophie retconned the Big Finish stories as alternative timelines especially the adventures with Hex and her part in the Gallifrey series, especially since she's heavily involved in Big Finish productions.

Now some could say maybe it's Ace no longer remembers those past adventures but from what I understand the novel specifically states they are alternate timelines.

LGBT

Is there any evidence to support Ace being a lesbian in any of the novels/audio adventures etc? The way I see it, one intended subtext, which didn't even make it into the final story(?) doesn't really seem enough to support including Ace in the LGBT category. Geek Mythology 09:36, June 25, 2011 (UTC)

Even if there is no more basis for including Ace in the LGBT category than the intended (but abandoned) subtext, the fact that she's "listed by many fans" as LGBT is worth noting. The listing may be on grounds that are as tenuous as interstellar gas but it's still a listing. Unless there's more to support the listing than you or I know of, however, the note ought to make clear how slight the support is. --2.96.29.191talk to me 12:23, March 2, 2012 (UTC)

It sounds fair that the intitial intention, and the fans support be mentioned, but I still don't believe this qualifies Ace to be listed in the LGBT category. Surely this is an encyclopedia to collect facts, not varying interpreations. Geek Mythology talk to me 13:09, March 2, 2012 (UTC)

If you mean she shouldn't be listed as that in this wiki, I'd agree with you -- just mention that she's regarded thus elsewhere and why (i.e., the intitial intention). --(IP address has probably changed but I was 2.96...) 89.242.69.162talk to me 00:38, March 3, 2012 (UTC)

Badges

Happiness patrol says she has a charlton athletic badge! that rocks.

Sylvester McCoy at Supanova

Removing this which, oddly, was on the subheader about Ace's real name.

Sylvester McCoy at the Gold Coast Supanova, 2013 stated that during his time as the Doctor with Ace as the companion he didn't like learning long lines and so would have Ace learn them instead.

Now, this is clearly a tongue-in-cheek response, but can someone more familiar with the context explain if McCoy was saying the Doctor didn't like learning long lines or that McCoy himself didn't? -- Tybort (talk page) 18:24, July 18, 2013 (UTC)

Technicolor Dreamcoat

Do we actually know for a fact that by calling the Doctor "Joseph" she was referencing that movie? Joseph is a well-known Biblical figure, so if the source doesn't specify the movie, then we should remove that mention and just say she was comparing him to the Biblical figure. It would be helpful if someone who has access to The Light at the End could give us the gist of the comment so we can determine if it refers to the musical character or not. Shambala108 02:28, May 8, 2015 (UTC)

Time Lord

So as a graduate of the Academy, is Ace a Time Lord in the recent Big Finish audios? OS25 (talk to me, baby.) 01:07, September 22, 2015 (UTC)

Nope Tauras and other Time Lords still call her a human. Adric♥NyssaTalk? 06:48, September 22, 2015 (UTC)
One can be human and Time Lord at the same time. Cf Time Lord#Non-Gallifreyan Time Lords. As a graduate of the Academy, Ace falls into this category. – N8 13:47, February 23, 2018 (UTC)

Ace's Fate

With the recent release of Gallifrey: Time War, Ace's fate is different to that of Ground Zero. My main concern with having Ground Zero as her definitive fate on the page is that the story very specifically has a teenage Ace as the one that dies. The Ace in other media seems older than the teenage Ace in Ground Zero. Would it not make more sense to list her multiple fates? Having just Ground Zero in her fate section seems a tad like favouritism, while we're meant to be unbiased on these pages, aren't we? Andrew McKenzie 11:20, February 23, 2018 (UTC)

We should absolutely list her multiple fates, but we should absolutely list Ground Zero as one of them. We're not being favoritist or biased by putting Ground Zero in that category; in fact, removing it would introduce bias by privileging the Big Finish version of events over the DWM one. I've edited Ace#Fate to represent that this is just one of several contrasting versions of Ace's death, so now you can add the Volume One version without there being any contradictions. – N8 13:47, February 23, 2018 (UTC)
Oh, I hadn't intended to make it sound like we should remove Ground Zero, just that we should add the others so it doesn't look like that's the wiki's POV on the definitive end.Andrew McKenzie 22:43, February 23, 2018 (UTC)

Reunion

When specifically do the Doctor and Ace meet again after their paths have separated again in the novel Set Piece? When do they decide to travel together again, and from which big-finish audio story do these new joint adventures start? --Scott Eccles 12:48, December 14, 2018 (UTC)

Ace's Timeline after At Childhood's End

The recently released At Childhood's End (novel) basically throws away all the Big Finish and novels apart from the Past Doctor's Adventures particularly Illegal Alien as part of Ace's possible timeline.
