Behind the scenes

The phrase is often misunderstood by viewers and professional closed captioners alike. In the captions to The Enemy of the World, the phrase is rendered "Brigadoon!" Some fans have believed the phrase to be "Creag an tuirc!" — but that's the battle cry of another clan [The Cry means "The Boars Rock" of Clan MacLaren.] The McCrimmon Clan are pipers to the chiefs of Clan MacLeod.
