Michael Troughton (born 2 March 1955[1]) played Albert Smithe in Last Christmas and voiced a number of characters for Big Finish's audio adventures, including taking over the role of the Second Doctor.

He is the second son of Second Doctor actor Patrick Troughton, as well as the younger brother of David Troughton and the uncle of fellow Big Finish actor Harry Melling.

Troughton also wrote his father's biography, Patrick Troughton: The Biography of the Second Doctor Who, which was published in 2012. He also shared his memories of his father for the audio commentary of the DVD releases of The Underwater Menace and The Ice Warriors.
