David Spenser (12 March 1934-20 July 2013[1]) played Thonmi in the Doctor Who television story The Abominable Snowmen.

An archive interview with David was used in the documentary Troughton in Tibet.

Personal life

He was the long-term life partner of writer Victor Pemberton, until he passed away in 2013.[2] Both were acknowledged in a posthumous tribute by Gary Russell in the form a visual easter egg in the animated release of Fury from the Deep, where a clipboard contains a note that says "Get Vic and Dave on this!".[3]
