I’ve been starting to think more and more lately that we should have just split these different miniseries into their own pages: make it so Doctor Who (2020) is just the four issues that contain Alternating Current, with everything else being split into Doctor Who: Missy, Doctor Who: Empire of Wolf, etc. WaltK ☎ 21:59, 29 September 2022 (UTC) |

Page's nameedit source
Why is this page tagged to have its name changed??? The name of the comic is "Doctor Who Comic", not just "Doctor Who". Wesley701 ☎ 20:52, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
The name of this comic, as printed on it, although the Titan Comics website refers to it as Doctor Who Comic, Doctor Who Comics and Doctor Who, depending on where you look. I believe the title should remain as Doctor Who Comic (2020), but I am unsure which is considered to be the official one. ThomasRWade ☎ 12:27, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
I think this comic is going to be an absolute nightmare to cover going forward...edit source
I say that based on some of the upcoming releases we know about.
Alternating Current has just finished on a cliffhanger, with the promise that the story will be picked up again soon. In the meantime, Titan is moving forward with their Missy miniseries, with the revealed covers still sporting the Doctor Who Comic branding, and with a reset issue numbering.
My first thought was "okay, maybe the Doctor Who Comic branding is just a placeholder until they can create a new logo for this miniseries". But now things have become complicated further with the reveal of the graphic novel compilation. Notice how it’s being promoted as Doctor Who Volume 2, picking up from the Alternating Current collection (Volume 1).
And I can’t begin to imagine what the comic will do when it eventually returns to the Thirteenth Doctor storyline (will the numbering be reset again?) WaltK ☎ 20:44, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
UKedit source
I saw this sentence and wanted to know if it really should be here: "At an unspecified point, the comic began being published and sold in the United Kingdom."
The comic series has been sold in the UK since the first issue of this new line, with me having been subscribed to it via an independant comic book store myself. It released initally at the same time as the US variants and each issue releases at the same time too. EDIT: I forgot to sign it. Sorry. ThomasRWade ☎ 18:10, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
- I think what this sentence is referring to is the UK variant sold by non-comic books shops (e.g. W H Smiths) that has a different numbering scheme (it is continuous between the subseries with the latest issue, EOTW 4, being issue 12 in the UK). Comic book stores, at least as far as I know, generally order their stock from the US so that's not the same as it being sold in the UK as it isn't through a UK distributor. I agree that the sentence could be clarified, though. Bongo50 ☎ 15:19, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
Splittingedit source
