Albert Sinclair, or Albie for short, was the older brother of Eighth Doctor companion Helen Sinclair. He was caught and imprisoned for homosexuality while it was was still illegal in the United Kingdom. As a result, their father disowned him. He tore up all the photographs of Albie and never talked about him, although Helen never forgot. While travelling with the Doctor, she never talked about him until getting to know Tony Clare and Ron Winters, two older men who lived openly as a couple in 2020. They made her think about how her brother could have had the same, something she confided to Liv Chenka. (AUDIO: UNIT Dating)
