Daari was an acting commander of the Warpwrights when Phaidon returned to the universe. Rasmus promised him help. He knew of Romana II when he was an attaché for the Phaidon ambassador Égopolis, and the lessons he learnt from her helped when Leela and Eleventh General arrived on the planet. He ordered a defensive when he learnt of a Dalek incursion. The Eleventh General supplied him with Gallifreyan weapons and offered him command.
