An RAF pilot was dispatched to intercept a Chameleon Tours plane before it left radar range of Gatwick Airport on 20 July 1966.
When he approached the plane, a laser beam hit him. His plane plummeted to the Earth and crashed. When the wreckage was searched, it was discovered that he had died of electrocution. (TV: The Faceless Ones)
