The ships employed by the Dominators were a form of flying saucer. Many of their workings were designed to be operated by Quarks, the Dominators' robotic servants. They were powered by negative mass flux absorption and could absorb radiation, such as that which had irradiated the Island of Death on the planet Dulkis, which was converted to provide propulsion.

Two Dominators, Navigator Rago and Probationer Toba, used a Dominator ship to travel to Dulkis, leaving a fleet of Dominator ships, where they landed upon the Island of Death, using the ship as a base of operations while they mined the planet. They planned to use a bomb to instigate a planet-wide volcanic eruption, but the Second Doctor caught the bomb and placed it aboard the Dominator ship. The bomb exploded while the ship was in mid-flight, destroying it. (TV: The Dominators)

The Quarks who lived on the Quark home planet had a fleet of these saucers which they used in the first Quark invasion of Earth. The Second Doctor and Jamie McCrimmon got inside the advance saucer sent to Scotland and used it to attack the fleet in space, destroying them and escaping in the chaos. (COMIC: Invasion of the Quarks)
