A support group was set up for former companions of the Doctor to be able to each have a place to talk to other people who have had the privilege of travelling throughout time and space in the TARDIS.
Alice Obiefune attended a support group in 2015. (COMIC: The Meeting)
For a session in 2022 the group was joined by Ian Chesterton, Jo Jones, Tegan Jovanka, Melanie Bush, Ace, Kate Stewart, Graham O'Brien, Yasmin Khan and Dan Lewis as well as having a laptop set up for one or more individuals unable to join directly. Yaz, the most recent addition at the time, had just parted company with the Thirteenth Doctor following the Master's Dalek Plan and was introduced to the group by Dan and Graham. Behind the scenes
- In the original script for The Power of the Doctor, the laptop was meant to be for either Jackie Tyler, Martha Jones or Ryan Sinclair.[1]
- It was unexplained how Jackie would have been able to join, having been trapped in Pete's World in Doomsday and Journey's End.
- Anneke Wills had been invited to return as Polly Wright to take part in the group scene but was unavailable. She later remarked, "I heard it was quite brief so I’m glad I stayed and did my brambles instead.".[2]
