Gian Sammarco (born February 1970) played Whizz Kid in the Doctor Who television story The Greatest Show in the Galaxy. He later reprised the character in the musical audio story Children of the Circus.

He is best known for playing the part of Adrian Mole in two series: The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13¾ (1985); and its sequel, The Growing Pains of Adrian Mole (1987). He also co-presented the first series of the the science fiction themed Saturday morning children's programme Get Fresh (1986-88). For his Get Fresh and Doctor Who appearances, Sammarco's style of dress was clearly influenced by his most famous role — wearing spectacles and smart, almost school uniform-like attire.

Finding himself typecast as Adrian Mole, Sammarco left the acting profession and chose instead to follow a career in nursing. He is now a fully qualified psychiatric nurse.
