Request for opinion on thread
Hey Laura, it would appear from your edit history that you've heard Find and Replace, as such I would be very interested your opinion over at Thread:206638. Best wishes, CoT ? 17:27, July 13, 2017 (UTC)

RE: Deleted image
Hey there, I'm good thanks for asking. As for the image, I don't know; I did not delete it. Although, I'd guess it was not fit for the wiki. For one, it was not even named properly and was facing away from the article, something that is preferred to be avoided here. It may have also been a licensing issue. Speculation aside, I advise you ask the admins why for more clarification. Happy editing. Snivystorm ☎ 01:32, January 17, 2018 (UTC)
Re: vandalism
Hi! Thanks for your concern. The user in question is a repeat offender who is most likely some bored little kid who has somehow accessed an adult account. I've informed the wiki admin who also works for Fandom about the issue, so it should be taken care of soon. Thanks and keep up the good work! Shambala108 ☎ 02:10, February 24, 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry about the removed edit. I took measures for this not to repeat. Please let me know if, despite this, you have further problems, whether on this wiki or on others. Amorkuz ☎ 22:31, February 26, 2018 (UTC)

Real world people
Hey there!
I love seeing initiative in creating pages for oft-forgotten members of the crew. That said, I have a few notes you might want to keep in mind for future page creations.
Let's use Elizabeth Trubridge as our example (your last edit)
- {{real world}}: very important to have this on top
- {{NameSort}}: very important for this to be at the bottom
- "as a Production manager" should really be "as a production manager". I understand that autosuggest defaults to capitalising the first letter, but that is because our iteration of MediaWiki does not differentiate between titles this way.
- A little search can go a long way. Put {{imdb name}} as an external link on new cast or crew pages. All you have to do is search their name at imdb.com, and you should immediately get a result which clearly corresponds to the person who worked on Doctor Who. If you can't find their page, though, don't sweat it.
- In this case, finding Trubridge on IMDb also showed me the awards they've won, allowing me to add the relevant categories for those awards.
Here are the changes which have been made since page creation (link).
× SOTO contribs ×°/↯/•] 💬•| {/-//: 02:24, March 5, 2018 (UTC)
- Another wording I quite favour for these pages is "was a [job title] credited on the Doctor Who television story [X]." It acknowledges that they may well have worked on other stories, for which they were not credited on-screen, or which perhaps we have neglected to record. See this wording in action here (link).

Edits
Oh sorry! I deleted a new category about the Doctor's fears after a deletion tag went up on it, which led me to remove the category from the Cybermen page. I assumed you were the one who added the category and reverted your edit as a quick fix. My bad, I should have actually looked at the edit instead of being lazy. You made some good edits there, so I'm glad you've put it back right. Sorry again! --Revan\Talk 16:49, March 7, 2018 (UTC)
The Clocksmith's TARDIS
Hi, I thought this page was set for American English - that was why the original Clocksmith's TARDIS page was taken down - someone Pm'd Shambala108 about it and I saw the thread. Sorry you went through that trouble. --Saint2 ☎ 05:58, August 17, 2018 (UTC)

Cleanup
Hi, I've been remiss in thanking you for all the cleanup edits you do (partly because I thought I had already made such an edit). Anyway, we don't have enough people doing cleanup on this huge wiki and your work is definitely appreciated. Shambala108 ☎ 01:46, June 22, 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for the clean up on Edge of Destruction. Still getting used to editing so forgot to spell check. Thanks it was in quite a state. --WhoCares ☎ 02:57, July 1, 2020 (UTC)

Hello, User:LauraBatham. I just wanted to stop by and check how you were doing in these trying times of self-isolation?BananaClownMan ☎ 09:55, April 16, 2020 (UTC)
- My job got closed too, but I've been put on the paid leave, so I don't have to worry about income. So, I've decided to have that Doctor Who binge watch I've been putting off, so I can help fill in the missing information on the wiki. By the way, I've never had to opportunity to thank you before for fixing my spelling and grammar. I have Dyspraxia, so I sometimes hit the wrong keys without realizing, and its nice of you to step in and repair them.BananaClownMan ☎ 10:12, April 16, 2020 (UTC)

Could you give some feedback in a thread?
Hey there. Given your participation at Talk:Arachnids in the UK (TV story), would you be willing to chime in with your take on Thread:277667? It started off as a discussion about whether the wiki should have individual pages for slurs and discriminatory language, but has morphed a bit to talk about content warnings more generally, related to that talk page discussion you were involved in. Best. Najawin ☎ 01:31, July 5, 2020 (UTC)

Categories
Hi, re your post on User:Vincent VG's talk page, yes you are correct, the categories he added are redundant and therefore not necessary to be added to the pages. Thanks! Shambala108 ☎ 13:10, August 7, 2020 (UTC)
Thanks
Hey, just wanted to give you my thanks for fixing my error in March (Releases) - I realised not long after that I'd already found a more specific date for The Stone House and added it to 7 March (Releases), but completely forgot to undo my edit on that month page. So it's much appreciated! JDPManjoume ☎ 14:14, August 30, 2020 (UTC)
RE: In use tag
Hi. My apologies if my work on the 'List of audio cliffhangers' article has caused you unnecessary grief; it wasn't my intention. However, I have to point out that I've not seen the "In Use" tag anywhere on that page - the tag I see at the top is the "Cleanup" tag and I've been working on that basis. Sorry, nonetheless, if I've caused you needless trouble. - James BelcherMorganJames ☎ 13:31, September 18, 2020 (UTC)

You're absolutely correct that it should be kept on the talk page. Thanks for pointing my mistake out, I did the archiving in a quick break from work, so it went over my head to check it. OncomingStorm12th ☎ 00:39, November 6, 2020 (UTC)
Merry Christmas
Hello, there. I just wanted to stop by and wish you the merriest of Christmases, and a Happy New Year. May 2021 bring you the same joy that I get from you fixing my grammatical errors on the wiki. BananaClownMan ☎ 14:13, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
Davros and the Testimony
Ack. Thank you. I should not try to do patrol-type edits this late at night in my timezone when I've had a busy day. To explain my otherwise-befuddling error: due to it being in the same paragraph as a statement on one of Davros's alternative titles/monikers, I misread that line as saying that "Davros and the Daleks were also known as the Testimony Foundation". Scrooge MacDuck ☎ 00:38, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
The Master talk page
Right, right! As I said there, I wasn't blaming you or anything, merely pointing out how the discussion was losing focus of the original guidelines.
As for why those guidelines exist: it's in part because upon close examination the Target quotes do appear to say that the War Chief is the Master, and we have long known that this was the BTS intent at the time, and the Wiki needs to stick its head out of the sand when it comes to acknowledging big continuity contradictions it had thus far tastefully ignored (see also The Doctor's early life and whatnot); and in part, an attempt to make sure this discussion didn't devolve into another protracted, incoherent flame-war the way previous attempts to have this discussion have done, by changing the initial premise of the discussion. Scrooge MacDuck ☎ 01:46, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
- In theory, yes — if it's something which hadn't been raised/considered before. Although I think I can see what you're going to say, and I must once more emphasise that it's one of these Weapon/Moment sorts of thing where there could be plausible deniability for any one sentence in isolation (to a point), but the whole of the scene points in only one direction. Top Trumps
Hi Laura,
I just wanted to say thank you, for filling in the missing stats in the table on the Top Trumps TARDIS Collectors Tin page the other week; there's only so much detail I can glean from YouTube reviews and pictures on eBay.

Re: An Unearthly Child
Well, it should be noted that IIRC, in The Pilot Episode, the Doctor and Susan are explicitly future humans, albeit from a future planet — implicitly, an Earth colony in the distant future when humanity's spread out among the stars. I don't think there's anything explicitly to suggest it in the broadcast version, but it was the idea even at a fairly late stage in development. Scrooge MacDuck ☎ 13:46, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
- While I cannot link the video due to Tardis:Video policy, I'd like to recommend watching the mini-documentary "When The Doctor Was a Human Who Invented the TARDIS" on the YouTube channel Dalek63•88, as they explain in detail the dialogue in An Unearthly Child, going over the quotes which do make it clear in the context of the story that they're human. 13:51, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
- Oh, yeah, no, I actually agree with you. I don't think "The Doctor was a human" should be sourced to the TV version of AUC! I was just saying that although it doesn't say it, the "another time, another world" lines in AUC were not actively implying the opposite either. Scrooge MacDuck ☎ 14:16, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
Invalid information
Hey! The effort is appreciated, but the brief was to move the invalid information (to the BTS sections). Deleting altogether is an unhelpful half-measure, as people wanting to reformat it for the BTS section, where it belongs, then have to go dig into the page history to find it. Re: Dr Who
What I'm doing isn't pedantic, it abiding by the policies set by this Wiki. Tardis:Neutral point of view states that "Media doesn't matter. One of the most important aspects of this wiki is that all media have equal weight here. Television is not the most important source of information on this wiki. That which is said in a short story in the 1967 Doctor Who Annual, or a Faction Paradox audio drama, is just as valid as the latest episode of BBC Wales Doctor Who.", which means the name "Dr. Who" is as equally valid as "First Doctor" and that the television continuity isn't higher than that of TV Comics - and in TV Comics, the Doctor is never referred to as the "First Doctor", as the concept of regeneration had not been invented yet. As @Scrooge MacDuck pointed out on User talk:Danochy#Re: Dr. Who, the comic story 4-Dimensional Vistas sets as precedent that we should use the name of the character as given within the story, regardless of whether or not another story uses a different name. This is enumerated on Talk:The Monk/Archive 1.

Infoboxes reply
It's the thing where you go "featuring 1" and "featuring 2". For some reason, it only features the first name, or shortens a title in the case of the Brigadier. BananaClownMan 03:38, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
Nomination
Hi Laura. Since you've been a highly valuable member of the wiki for years now, I thought you would be deserving of an admin nomination. Such a role would compliment the great work you already do in the wiki, both as a participator in discussions and with your excellent article clean-up work. I'd be happy to go ahead and write up the nomination as soon as you give me your approval, although if there's anything you want to make sure I include, feel free to contact me on Discord @Danochy#3948 or through some other means of your choosing. All the best, Danochy ☎ 04:48, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- That's completely understandable. I don't think any of those reasons would necessarily preclude you from being an excellent admin, but if it's not a role you desire, then yeah, makes sense. I can also empathise with your anxiety-related reasons too, I also spend ages writing posts on occasion, for similar reasons (anxiety really is a bitch).
- Thanks for your support too! Although I'm personally not interested at the moment. I'm not sure if I'd be particularly good at it, plus I'm a bit busy with uni stuff.
Overdue
Hey just wanted to thank you once again for all the cleanup work you do here. So many times I see an edit that needs fixing, but when I get to it, you've already done it. Saves me a lot of time! Shambala108 ☎ 05:03, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
Hi Laura, great to hear from you! Good catch on Twitter — it fit so perfectly that I didn't even think of The Crooked World's release date. In that case it definitely doesn't belong on the page, no, even if it's a hell of a psychic coincidence! I hope you're well :) – n8 (☎) 20:00, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
Fixing pages
Thanks for the heads up. I can't take care of it because for some reason it's not working for me, but another admin should get to it as soon as they get online. Shambala108 ☎ 04:34, 18 August 2021 (UTC)
Re:Spoilers
I am not calling you a liar, but if all you had to go on was my post - which did not contain any spoilers - then you are not truly spoiled. Who on Earth are you to say that I would only make this "fuss" over a television episode? As my contributions show I am more interested in EU material these days. Your assumption is your assumption, does not change the fact that the post in question was well within the rules. DrWHOCorrieFan ☎ 11:30, 7 June 2022 (UTC)

Not the editor in question, but it seemed fishy to me as well. Interestingly, when I checked various transcript sites they had the scene transcribed but the video on Amazon doesn't have it. Might be a localization issue? Najawin ☎ 06:34, 15 September 2022 (UTC)

RE: Username Change
I can see why this is an important request, but I only just committed to User:Tangerineduel two hours ago to hold a temporary moratorium on user renames while we get necessary policies up and running.
So it is a yes, since you easily meet all the requirements laid out thus far, but I hope you won't mind waiting a little bit longer so TD and I can dot our is and cross our ts.
Terribly sorry about this delay. Please don't hesitate to get my attention if you feel time is of the essence here, though. I'll see what we can do.
Informally approved, in any case!
