Franklin Delano Roosevelt

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the 32nd President of the United States (PROSE: Tricky Dicky [+]Loading...["Tricky Dicky (short story)"]) who led his country through the bulk of World War II. (PROSE: Endgame [+]Loading...["Endgame (novel)"])

Biography

In 1927, he was targeted by the Trickster's Brigade using an alien Brainspawn in an attempt to change the course of history by allowing Nazi Germany to win World War II. However, the plan was foiled by Jack Harkness and Angelo Colasanto. He was to be elected Governor of New York in November that year. (TV: Immortal Sins [+]Loading...["Immortal Sins (TV story)"])

According to the Sixth Doctor, Roosevelt planted a tree on Banyan Drive in Hawaii next to Babe Ruth. However, the Doctor was unsure if it were Roosevelt or Richard Nixon or George W. (PROSE: Outsourcing [+]Loading...["Outsourcing (short story)"])

Amongst his many accomplishment was the foundation of the Office of Strategic Services, the forerunner of the Central Intelligence Agency. He died in office in 1945 and was succeeded by Harry S. Truman, his Vice President. (PROSE: Endgame [+]Loading...["Endgame (novel)"])
