Mr Joe was a vet, or as Paul Magrs and Fester Cat put it, a "hairdresser", whose surgery resided on Stockport Road in Levenshulme. (PROSE: The Story of Fester Cat)

Just prior to Easter 2012, Fester was taken to the surgery after he had suffered from a stroke. Joe took a blood sample, and he told Jeremy he could take Fester home, but he would have to return later that day. Jeremy and Fester did just that, and upon leaving the surgery for the second time, the lady at the counter gave Jeremy pouches of cat food. (PROSE: The Story of Fester Cat)
