Into the Vortex was an online game created for the Doctor Who website in 2007.
It involved the player piloting the TARDIS, which was running low on power crystals. The player had to collect blue gas clouds while avoiding the red ones. If he caught a red gas cloud several times, the TARDIS would appear at a random point in time.
There were nine possible places to appear at:
- Shakespearean London, 16th Century
- Pentallian Ship, 42nd Century
- Martha's Street, 21st Century
- Van Statten's Museum, 2012
- Farringham School, 1913
- Game Station, 200,100
- Victorian Cardiff, 1869
- Thames Barrier, London, 21st Century
- Cardiff Bay, Present Day
