Charles Gaskell, also known as Charlie Gaskill, (PROSE: The Twilight Streets [+]Loading...["The Twilight Streets (novel)"]) was an operative of Torchwood Cardiff in the early 20th century. Biography
During the 1890s, Charles was working as a sailor in the Royal Navy, aboard the HMS Atropos. He was recruited to Torchwood Cardiff at some point by its leader, Emily Holroyd.
In 1899, Gaskell was working at Torchwood. When Jack Harkness went missing under mysterious circumstances, he was asked to investigate Sir Henry Montague. Seeking to hide his involvement, Montague hired Tice and McQuaid, two of Gaskell's old Navy friends, to kill him and cover it up, but Gaskell incapacitated them. When Torchwood investigated the HMS Hades, he was the one to eventually blow it up after it was found to be a lab for experimenting on aliens.
