HMS Hades

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

HMS Hades was originally a forty-two-gun frigate. It was one of the ships that escorted Napoléon Bonaparte to St Helena in 1815.

It was decommissioned in 1869 and bought by Sir Henry Montague. He stripped the ship of its weapons and converted the armoury into a surgical theatre, as well as installing lab equipment and constructing many shacks across the deck of the ship. He claimed to have turned it into a "ragged school" for orphan boys, run by Tiberius Finch and Gertrude Blight. In actuality, it was used as place to breed and experiment on aliens coming through the Rift, in an attempt to develop the perfect soldier.

The HMS Hades was destroyed by Charles Gaskell of Torchwood Three, who burned it down after discovering what it was being used for. (PROSE: The Baby Farmers)
