On 24 August, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1967 - Pre-filming for The Abominable Snowmen continued at Ealing Studios. (TCH 11)
- 1982 - Location filming for Mawdryn Undead took place. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Fifth Doctor)
- 1983 - Studio filming for Frontios took place at BBC Television Centre studio 6. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Fifth Doctor)
- 1994 - Writer John Leekley submitted the first draft of his script for the 1996 TV movie, based on his revised 27 July storyline. The most noticeable change from his last submission was a new cliffhanger involving a confrontation between Davros and the Daleks and the Doctor and Lizzie Travis. He submitted a fuller script on 8 September.
- 2001 - The Big Finish audio story Primeval was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2004 - The Big Finish audio story The Next Life was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2006 - The Big Finish audio story No More Lies was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2017 - Big Finish announced the audio box set Tales from New Earth.
- 2022 - Big Finish's audio anthology Purity Unleashed was recorded at the Soundhouse.
- 2023 - The Big Finish audio story The Last Day was recorded at the Soundhouse.
