Hey all :) If you need help with anything, please ask, below. The page tends to fill up quickly, so I've got a lot of archives. I try not to archive discussions that are ongoing, but sometimes it unfortunately happens. Gimme a second shout if I've not answered your question!

This page is also available in Bulgarian, German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Hebrew and Russian.

If you've come here to request a simple, uncontroversial page move, please consider using {{speedy rename}} instead. This puts all rename requests into a neat little chart that all admin can see and work on.

Edit History?

CzechOut, this is a little trivial but I read the descriptions for all of the discussion boards and it didn't seem like my question was appropriate for any of them, even Help.

My question is how can I see the edit history of a Page? I just can't find the option to view this, like you can under History on "the other wiki". Is this view only available to Admins? It seems like it would be pretty simple feature since lots of users refer to other people's edits or reverts of edits. But I can't find it. : ( Badwolff 21:13, May 24, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply and instructions. Although a revert did just happen on a Howling thread where someone accidentally deleted some comments and the discussion had to be reverted. I guess it's an option there if you know what you're looking for! Thanks, again. Badwolff 22:10, May 24, 2013 (UTC)

Photo License Accident

I was uploading a photo of River's diary and I think I accidentally forgot to add the license to it. I realized right after I clicked to add the photo, it should've been labeled as a Screencapture, and I've been trying to figure out how to correct the mistake but I haven't been able to find a way to add the license after the fact. I know the photos have to have one and it was just a stupid oversight on my part, so I wanted to let you know so it doesn't appear that I was intentionally trying to leave off the license. I'm hoping there's an easy way to fix it. Mewiet 08:15, May 25, 2013 (UTC)

Okay, I was looking at some other uploads and I think I managed to correct the mistake. Mewiet 08:22, May 25, 2013 (UTC)

Revealing dab terms in dab pages

I'm a little bit confused about one aspect of your recent edits at Out of Time. Your edit summaries seem to imply that revealing dab terms is preferable, even though all the information in the term is then immediately revealed in more detail after the link. For example, in...

the dab term just gets repeated in fill sentence format. The same applies to the other two.

Now this is fine for out-of-universe lists like this. The problem really arises when you end up with something like this:

This is simply unreadable! Obviously, Lucy is not in such a state, but you seem to be implying that it should be. So is there a line to be drawn here, or do you truly believe that we should reveal all dab terms? If so, why?

(ps. somehow, this didn't post when I clicked publish almost a day ago. :/ )

Sort keys

Hi! If I find a page with multiple sort keys, which one should I keep? It's usually a choice between "default" and either "name" or "title", depending on the type of page. Thanks! Shambala108 02:58, May 26, 2013 (UTC)

I've found two tonight: Neil Sedaka and BBC Wales VFX. Shambala108 03:16, May 26, 2013 (UTC)

Bernice GOR

I asked User:Tangerineduel for some Benny ideas and here's what he came up with:

  • Archaeology: "You've found coprolite on Apollox 4, Congrats!", "I found the Sword of Forever and all I got was...death",
  • Students:
  • Drinking: "Have a toast; M3 Variant and Potato Spirit",
  • Eating: "Ate pizza in the 60s for the first time",
  • Culture: "Star Trek TNG's a documentary right?",
  • Sex with 8: "Standing naked with the Seventh Doctor; about romantic as a fish", "A Doctor who may change but never die" (actual quote from The Dying Days)
  • Marriage/Weddings: "Sherlock came to the wedding.", "The Brigadier came to the wedding", "Ice Warriors came to the wedding", "Ace had sex with a clone of my husband at the wedding.", "Started naked in a field with an Ice Warrior ended in the arms of Jason",
  • Doctor/Companion length: "Travelled with the Doctor, then worked for his brother.",
  • Ice Warriors: "Shurr…" (It's what the Martians call Benny and is like Dame or something)

Combining his with mine, there's more than 8 so that should be enough to go on hopefully. Shambala108 03:39, May 26, 2013 (UTC)

Re images - I pulled some images out of the Bernice image category, but they're almost exclusively cover pictures for audio & prose, so none of them really match the ideas we have. Mostly I just went with images that have a good close-up of her face. Shambala108 02:01, May 28, 2013 (UTC)

Society vs Planets?

I noticed you moved the categories Skaro, Traken, and a few others to the "Society" category, rather than planets. I changed some of them back without really thinking about it, but I thought I should get your reasoning (does it have anything to do with planets being part of the Game of Rassilon now?) before I dug myself any further into a possible faux pas. Memnarc 03:28, May 28, 2013 (UTC)

Gotcha'. I undid Traken and Skaro, but I'm a little hazy on Sol System planets. I mean with the other two, I get that recursion's a factor, and no other category really fits, but Sol System planets already has another category and could probably be put under Mutter's Spiral planets (which I'm having a hard time finding any recursion on). Navigation Help

I want to know how to set up the wiki navigation and the font on my wiki, UEFA Wiki. Here's a link http://uefa.wikia.com/wiki/UEFA_Wiki. I know it has something to do with the css but I want the code. Thanks --QuestionRules 21:09, May 28, 2013 (UTC)
