Hey all :) If you need help with anything, please ask, below. The page tends to fill up quickly, so I've got a lot of archives. I try not to archive discussions that are ongoing, but sometimes it unfortunately happens. Gimme a second shout if I've not answered your question!
This page is also available in Bulgarian, German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Hebrew and Russian.
Image question
Hi! I had to delete some images uploaded by a new user, and he had some questions that I think you can answer better than I can. If you can get back to me on this, I can get back to him. Thanks! Shambala108 ☎ 14:53, July 12, 2013 (UTC)
Here is his original message to me:
- Hi, thank you for your answer. Is the problem the image format? PNG is simply the optimal format for screenshots of a pixel-art videogame. While I understand the need of JPG for screenshots from the TV series, maybe the rule should consider the (rare) exceptions of Doctor Who old video games. Anyway, I'll just reuploaded them (and the GIF screenshot that I didn't upload but that went away too) as JPGs. They'll take more space and show artefacts but if it's necessary… Is that ok? I read the rest of the guidelines and everything seemed fine. Best, -- Nicolas ☎ 01:10, July 12, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the quick reply. So I can restore one of the .pngs that we deleted? Or should I have User:Nclm re-upload it? Shambala108 ☎ 17:37, July 12, 2013 (UTC)
Years
Yeah, I noticed from all the emails I'm getting from the bot edits. Sorry, I couldn't resist cleaning up 1967 a bit! ;)
Do you want me to help with getting all the info on the right pages? I mean just splitting. I was planning on knocking off a good amount of releases and putting them in days, but I could easily do 44 years in, ooh, not so long. And I can get to releases too. I can just put myself on automatic and complete all those at once if you want. After doing that for all 365 days, I think I can manage 44! --SOTO ☎ 03:24, July 14, 2013 (UTC)
- Okay, you didn't respond so I figured what the hell — I did until 1980. Not really cleaning up, as that would make it take more than double the time. Better to do it in stages, rather than wasting all your energy on each year. I must say I underestimated the work — it is much more difficult and time-consuming than it appears. I'll give it that.
- Anyway, just a gentle bit of help. If you really do need any, I'm usually available and so used to manual labour from my day project that I don't mind doing the same with years. Just... give me a ring.
- In the meantime, I'll go back to filling up in-universe pages. I'm going through Time and Relative first, as Susan dates her diary entries. I've got a few other books with lots of dates to go through, then I guess I'll order more. This is good for me; I've been meaning to expand my Who library for a while!

Okay, since you don't want two from the same episode, could I change the profile pic? It's a horrible picture of her and we could put the profile pic on now, farther down.

2013 Proms
I'm not going into semantics over which is correctly named, that's for the discussion page, but can I have a brief rollback of Doctor Who Prom (2013) so I can add information from its lead and list of music to the existing page? -- Tybort (talk page) 00:49, July 15, 2013 (UTC)
A Girl's Best Friend
Hey. The official DW YouTube channel has had the full A Girl's Best Friend for a few months now. It's clearly officially released, but do we want to include the entire video on the page for the episode? We put full videos for small shorts and prequels, but never before for hour-long episodes.
Here is the link. --SOTO ☎ 01:31, July 16, 2013 (UTC)
- What? It's definitely working on my end. Playing it right now, and it's working perfectly. Maybe I miscopied it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VS7KpUZ37eM
- No, it's the exact same link. I just clicked on the link from this very page, and it played just fine. That is weird... Does the channel have a thing against Americans? :P

Question about layout
Hi, regarding my question from before[1], looks like I forgot to put in a title and it was swept away with previous post, by your archive bot. I'd appreciate any pointers on that issue. --Mbg2 ☎ 00:57, July 17, 2013 (UTC)
Joseph Kloska
Doug86 saw that Joseph Kloska was mistakenly spelled Joesph Kloska, but when he renamed it, he forgot to uncheck the box, so we now have a pointless redirect at Joesph Kloska. Would you mind deleting this? I've changed all links. Cult Of Skaro Here.|Communicate here. 14:04, July 17, 2013 (UTC)
- Czech, that was a picture of Kloska. I named it JosephKloska, not ThePerfectOne. Cult Of Skaro Here.|Communicate here. 15:28, July 24, 2013 (UTC)
Photos
Hi, apologies for uploading photos that had to be deleted, but as I uploaded another before reading your message, File:Dimensionsfourth.jpg will need to be deleted as well.Geek Mythology ☎ 15:14, July 23, 2013 (UTC)
Could you delete this photo?
I was trying to replace the cover to Masters of War (Which can be found at File:The_Masters_of_War_front_cover.png, as I don't know how to link to an image without showing it) with a higher quality copy, but found it was a png. Could you delete this image? I'll then upload the better jpeg. Cult Of Skaro Here.|Communicate here. 17:22, July 23, 2013 (UTC)
New videos for Tardis Wiki
Hey CzechOut,
I left a message on the forum a few days ago about new videos we have available for the community to use. I haven't heard anything back so I wanted to check in with you. Is there a better place to post? Do you want any help getting videos added here? Let me know and I am happy to help. Cheers, Sarah<staff /> (help forum | blog) 21:00, July 23, 2013 (UTC)
Disable Visual Mode
As I've learned from forum:Can we disable visual editor please?, the visual mode has been project-wide disabled on Tardis Wiki. I've encountered the same issues that article source codes ruined by Visual Mode in Megmai Tensei Wiki and would like to disable the Visual Mode for every editor too. But when my crat asked Wikia staff for help they refused to do it for us because they insist Visual Mode encourages novices to edit.[2] So how did you disable access to Visual Mode for the entire Tardis Wiki? Did you ask Wikia staff too or modify the local Mediawiki code by yourself to achieve this? Thank you. -- Inpursuit (talk) 04:43, July 24, 2013 (UTC)
