- Hi, thank you for your answer. Is the problem the image format? PNG is simply the optimal format for screenshots of a pixel-art videogame. While I understand the need of JPG for screenshots from the TV series, maybe the rule should consider the (rare) exceptions of Doctor Who old video games. Anyway, I'll just reuploaded them (and the GIF screenshot that I didn't upload but that went away too) as JPGs. They'll take more space and show artefacts but if it's necessary… Is that ok? Yeah, I noticed from all the emails I'm getting from the bot edits. Sorry, I couldn't resist cleaning up 1967 a bit! ;)
Do you want me to help with getting all the info on the right pages? I mean just splitting. I was planning on knocking off a good amount of releases and putting them in days, but I could easily do 44 years in, ooh, not so long. And I can get to releases too. - Okay, you didn't respond so I figured what the hell — I did until 1980. Not really cleaning up, as that would make it take more than double the time. Better to do it in stages, rather than wasting all your energy on each year. I must say I underestimated the work — it is much more difficult and time-consuming than it appears. I'll give it that.
- Anyway, just a gentle bit of help. If you really do need any, I'm usually available and so used to manual labour from my day project that I don't mind doing the same with years. Just... give me a ring.
- In the meantime, I'll go back to filling up in-universe pages. I'm going through Time and Relative first, as Susan dates her diary entries. I've got a few other books with lots of dates to go through, then I guess I'll order more. This is good for me; I've been meaning to expand my Who library for a while!

Hey. The official DW YouTube channel has had the full A Girl's Best Friend for a few months now. It's clearly officially released, but do we want to include the entire video on the page for the episode? We put full videos for small shorts and prequels, but never before for hour-long episodes.

I was trying to replace the cover to Masters of War (Which can be found at File:The_Masters_of_War_front_cover.png, as I don't know how to link to an image without showing it) with a higher quality copy, but found it was a png. Disable Visual Mode
As I've learned from forum:Can we disable visual editor please?, the visual mode has been project-wide disabled on Tardis Wiki. I've encountered the same issues that article source codes ruined by Visual Mode in Megmai Tensei Wiki and would like to disable the Visual Mode for every editor too. But when my crat asked Wikia staff for help they refused to do it for us because they insist Visual Mode encourages novices to edit.[2] So how did you disable access to Visual Mode for the entire Tardis Wiki? Did you ask Wikia staff too or modify the local Mediawiki code by yourself to achieve this? Thank you. -- Inpursuit (talk) 04:43, July 24, 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply. I don't like Visual Mode frankly because of the code explosion it causes. Visual mode also has the tendency to induce novice editor to use full URL for piped internal link and adding category in the middle of the article due to its bundled category module. I encountered a visual mode user who repeatedly substituted a little gadget template code manually inside another template in an article in order to re-activate visual mode which was disabled automatically due to complex coding. That user was driven away by the majority of source mode users. We currently have a poll involving active editors to support disabling visual mode, but I guess our editor-base is not large enough to justify that change. Still judging from other failed plea to disable visual mode in other Wikia projects like Harry Potter and One Piece, it really feels like Wikia has changed its policy since September 2012 and more persistent in convoying the Visual Mode regardless of its ongoing bugs. One evidence is that a template including the magicword __NOWYSIWYG__ was initially ineffective to the transcluding article, it was officially "fixed" in 2009, but as I checked today it no longer works with transclusion. I believe the fix was reverted intentionally to avoid circumvention. -- Inpursuit (talk) 16:08, July 24, 2013 (UTC)
