Hey all :) If you need help with anything, please ask, below. The page tends to fill up quickly, so I've got a lot of archives. I try not to archive discussions that are ongoing, but sometimes it unfortunately happens. Gimme a second shout if I've not answered your question!

This page is also available in Bulgarian, German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Hebrew and Russian.

Redirect?

Hi CzechOut, I was browsing the Five Doctors episode article and in this section, it says that Borusa played the Game of Rassilon. However the link redirects to Help:Game of Rassilon, which seems to explain badges. I don't know if this was intentional, which is what I'm asking, or a mistake. Also, when the episode airs tonight, we can add information, right? Original Authority (talk)

I see, thanks for clearing that up. About the spoilers when the episode airs tonight, we can add information, right? Original Authority (talk) 17:46, August 23, 2014 (UTC)

Deep Breath

the plots of the episode need to be added, Czech...the page currently consists of a single '/'. I don't know, you're Head admin, so I mentioned it to you. Regards, Mighty Lord President Borusa 20:19, August 23, 2014 (UTC)

IRC?

I recommend that you register an IRC channel for this wikia and implement it directly onto the wikia. I edit on several wiki's and IRC is great. One great feature, whatever nickname someone sets, when that nickname is mentioned in the chat, they get a notification sound. Very useful feature. —TIMESHADE(TALK) 00:18, August 24, 2014 (UTC)

Different numbers

Sorry to bother, you've probably been told this before, but the reason your edit count in the header and your actual edit count is different is because the header only counts mainspace edits. That doesn't include templates, images and such. I saw the note and thought I should let you know. Have a good day {{SUBST:User:Shadowdemon137/Sig}} 05:57, August 24, 2014 (UTC)

This is partially true, I've checked mine on other wikis and the other edits still don't add up to the total count in my header on other wikis.—TIMESHADE(TALK) 09:26, August 24, 2014 (UTC)

Unlock the Doctor?

Hey, can you give a look at this, please? :) http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Talk:Twelfth_Doctor#Article_under_lockdown_for_how_long.3F Lady Junky 17:54, August 24, 2014 (UTC)

RE:Page Tally

I agree with what you said. What I wrote on your talk page was correcting Shadowdemon137 as I said he was just partially correct. —TIMESHADE(TALK) 04:26, August 25, 2014 (UTC)

Wales crew template

Hi. Just stopping by to call your attention to Template talk:Wales crew, where there's a list of new crew variables needed for Deep Breath. P&P talk contribs 03:26, August 26, 2014 (UTC)

Suitors, Inc.

Hey, I know it was a few years ago, but do you remember why you chose Romana I as the incarnation featured in Suitors, Inc.? The story doesn't definitely say, though it does mention that the Key to Time quest is over. However, someone posted a continuity note from Verdigris that quotes Iris as saying she met the Doctor when he was traveling with a robot dog and a "blond" girl. The writer of both stories is Paul Magrs, so I wonder if that quote is in reference to Suitors, Inc. Any thoughts? Thanks. Shambala108 15:57, August 29, 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply. I don't have a problem with ignoring Verdigris, because it's entirely plausible for Iris to have met Four with RI and RII at separate times, so she could be referring to a different meeting. (I have to admit I didn't bother to check the publishing dates for Verdigis and Suitors; I just assumed Suitors came first.)
DWRG's arbitrary placement is justified by the statement "as the setting is the summer of ’79, it makes sense to position it close to the stories that were broadcast around that time" which is ridiculous because both Romanas' stories aired in 1979, but neither in the summer.
There are two things in the story that point to a specific Romana; however they point to different ones.
  • As you mentioned, the personality of Romana in the story fits Tamm so much better than Ward. She's impatient and critical, and thinks herself superior to the Doctor.
  • K9 speaks of the Key to Time quest as being in the past. I can't remember offhand if there's any indication that Armageddon is immediately followed by Destiny, or if there's any room for adventures in between. Romana at one point comments that she's been travelling with the Doctor for years, which is not very specific but points more to Ward than Tamm. However, it's just not definite enough.
I'm trying not to let personal preference cloud my judgement; I'd much rather this story be Tamm than Ward, as there are plenty of Ward short stories but fewer Tamm ones. So it's a matter of weighing personality v. a somewhat vague description of how long Romana has been with the Doctor.
So I'd vote to stick with Tamm for now. It's just hard to picture Ward saying/thinking some of the things she does in this story, but they seem to fit Tamm perfectly. Thanks for the input! Shambala108 14:57, September 2, 2014 (UTC)

Benny infobox pic

During a discussion at Talk:Bernice Summerfield about the infobox pic, Shambala said you had a rationale for using a picture of Benny from Pureblood over Dead and Buried. When you get a chance, could we have your input on this discussion? Thanks. P&P talk contribs 02:23, September 2, 2014 (UTC)
