Robot knight (Robot of Sherwood)
A group of android robots who masqueraded as a force of medieval knights originated from a spaceship, observed by the Twelfth Doctor to have came from the 29th century, which had crash landed on Earth in the past while on a destination to the Promised Land. The ship surfaced as the castle of Nottingham in 1190 England. By this point, they served the Sheriff of Nottingham, who aspired to take the English throne. (TV: Robot of Sherwood)
Characteristics
Similar to the Clockwork Droids, these robots followed camouflage procedures to blend into their surroundings, namely 1190 England, by appearing in the form of medieval knights. The robots had helmets which masked their robotic face, but could slide open to reveal their true nature and a weapon They were armed with swords and had a laser embedded in their foreheads, which could completely disintegrate a human at full power. However, the beam could be reflected by a metal plate, destroying the knight. The knights hid themselves with helmets built into their heads, which contained visors that disguised their true nature. It split down the middle and its halve slid back on the sides of their heads to reveal their real robotic faces and so the knights could shoot their lasers underneath. (TV: Robot of Sherwood)
