Station to Station was the first story in the audio anthology Back to Earth, produced by Big Finish Productions. It was written by Robert Valentine and featured Christopher Eccleston as the Ninth Doctor.

- The Doctor jokingly gives his condolences when he finds out that Saffron lives in London. The Eighth Doctor once spent a lengthy period of time grounded in London whilst present during a paradox, unable to escape in the TARDIS. (AUDIO: Lost Property et al)
- London was also well-known for being a hotspot for alien incursions, such as the Robot Yeti in London, (TV: The Web of Fear), the Dinosaur Invasion, (TV: Invasion of the Dinosaurs), the two attempted invasions of WOTAN, (TV: The War Machines, AUDIO: The Law Machines) and later in the Ninth Doctor's life, the city would face an Auton invasion, (TV: Rose) and the Elizabeth Tower would be struck by a spaceship.
