On 28 October, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1964 - Sydney Newman wrote to Carole Ann Ford, responding to her letter of that week, in which Ford thanked him for the opportunity of playing Susan. He rejects her gratitude, saying: "...we are greatly indebted to you. You have done a fine job for us in the BBC, and we are deeply appreciative of your work."
- 1967 - Episode two of The Ice Warriors was recorded at Lime Grove Studios D. (TCH 11)

- 2019 - Big Finish's audio anthology The First Doctor Adventures: Volume Five was recorded at the Soundhouse.
- 2020 - The BBC announced the Blu-ray steelbook of Series 7.
