Mini-episode
Mini-episodes, or minisodes, are short episodes of Doctor Who usually released online, in a DVD set or broadcast during charity telethons such as Children in Need and Comic Relief.
The Sarah Jane Adventures was also granted minisodes, making it the only spin-off to do so.

This list compiles most mini-episodes, regardless of this Wiki's decision on validity. The definition of minisode is broad. Such as trailers for The Collection sets are also described as minisodes. So ultimately this list can include any on screen content - be it prequel, intro, commercial, trailer, extra scene, linking material, sketch, in character short, live segment or ident - as long as it isn't full length

The Collection mini-episodes
The term of "mini-episodes" was also used by Pete McTighe in DWM 571 to refer to the short live-action Doctor Who stories whose creation he oversaw to accompany trailers for The Collection, noting that "calling them trailers feels a bit reductive". Some of these shorts broke the fourth wall while others were set in the Doctor Who universe. Contrary to traditional mini-episodes, these naturally did not tie in with the then-current season of Doctor Who on TV, but rather caught up with some element of the season being released in a Collection box-set at the time of release of the mini-episode.
