Publisher's summary

A long time ago, during every second of existence, there was a war. An impossible war between gods and monsters. A war that should have killed them both. Only the gods are dead and the monsters are back, stronger than ever. The monsters are coming for all of creation.

The universe’s only hope for survival lies in a blue box. The Doctor and Valarie Lockwood, the unstoppable duo, ready to stop the monsters and save the universe once again. Notes

Reborn Paradigm closer look.
    • As with previous renders, Johnson provided a closer look at the Daleks featured on the cover.[3] As noted in the writeup, the Paradigm Daleks feature a from the ground up redesign, the second change these Daleks have received after having previously been tweaked for Asylum of the Daleks. This design features the removal of the arched back previously seen in both Victory of the Daleks and Asylum, a new hatch, a thinner fender and overall reshaped proportions. Johnson's writeup indicates the casings have a Drammankin core as part of its reinforced shell.
    • James Blowers also provided a visual dictionary-inspired spread of the redesign.[4][5]
    • Special Weapons Dalek closer look.
Johnson also provided a closer look at a bronze variant of the Special Weapons Dalek, which incorporates features of the 2005 Dalek design such as an ID tag, bolted slats, and a cannon with design cues of the standard gunsticks featured on said design. Johnson's writeup indicates that this variant features a Dalatomic core and Silcronian infused casing,[6] with Johnson further saying this model also saw use in the Last Great Time War.[7] The design used was almost a New Paradigm-style Special Weapons Dalek.[8]
    • The appearance of the Special Weapons Dalek marks the first major redesign since this variant's appearance in Remembrance of the Daleks.
