Robbie was a sound engineer. In November 1996, when he was forty years old, he worked with Big Michael in setting up at the Gresham Hotel in Dublin for a concert to be held by the Blood Honeys, a new girl group. The Tenth Doctor talked his way into the hotel past Robbie and Michael by posing as another technician, suggesting they try an Atraxi Sa'Thraster for their setup.
Robbie was described as having been forty since he was fifteen, when he had first got into the business of sound engineering after discovering he was not cut out for formal education. (PROSE: Wannabes [+]Loading...["Wannabes (novel)"])
