Silurian variant (Supremacy of the Cybermen)
One type of Silurians were encountered by the Eleventh Doctor on prehistoric Earth.
Biology
These Silurians resembled the caste to which Vastra was native. Indeed, both lacked the third eye (COMIC: Supremacy of the Cybermen [+]Loading...["Supremacy of the Cybermen (comic story)"]) which distinguished the Early Silurian and Middle Silurian subspecies, (PROSE: The Monster Vault [+]Loading...["The Monster Vault (novel)"]) as well as sporting five digits on each hand and no external ears. However, these Silurians were distinguished in that they had crests on their heads and down their neck, and faces with bulging black eyes, wide curved mouths, and no visible noses. As such, their genuine faces resembled the Silurian Masks (GAME: Exodus of the Silurians [+]Loading...["Exodus of the Silurians (video game)"]) of their more human-like counterparts, (TV: The Hungry Earth [+]Loading...["The Hungry Earth (TV story)"], etc.) whom historians knew as Late Silurians.
