Chicxulub (species)

The Chicxulub were an ancient species of sapient lizards resembling Pterodactyls. They were a sister race to the Silurians and the Sea Devils.

The bipedal Saurians who lived on land viewed the Chicxulub as "flying kindred". The crashed timeship which created Thaumoctopus memeticus was first seen by a migratory tribe of flying kindred. (PROSE: T. memeticus: A Morphology [+]Loading...["T. memeticus: A Morphology (short story)"])
After the K-T extinction event, the Chicxulub found themselves unable to stay on the surface. The event's impact released wild fields into the skies of Earth which allowed the Chicxulub to create cities on floating islands called sky colonies. They farmed the flying pack animals mulo. The impact also gave them psychic powers and time sensitivity, which they represented by wearing jewelry of a third eye, similar to the eyes of the Silurians.
Living in the skies, the Chicxulub found themselves in opposition to the Wyrm. Some Chicxulub were corrupted by the Voice of the Wyrm, becoming Wyrmcallers. (AUDIO: The Adolescence of Time [+]Loading...["The Adolescence of Time (audio story)"])
