Pokémon is a multimedia franchise which has taken the form of a series of video games and several television series and films, among other media.

Crossover

The franchise crossed over with the Doctor Who universe in an untitled promotional video [+]Loading...["Untitled (November 2024 TV story)","untitled promotional video"] released by the BBC, which features an appearance by a Pokémon TV series[which?], alongside Doctor Who.

The Pokémon Trading Card Game was, until 2003, originally published outside of Asia by Wizards of the Coast.

Fathom Events handled the international theatre distributions of the twentieth and twenty-first anime films, Pokémon The Movie: I Choose You! and Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us.

Television channels

In the UK, ITV and its family of channels was the initial terrestrial television home of the Pokémon anime series, beginning from its premiere in the late 90s and until the late 2010s, at which point the rights were handed over to the BBC: the series currently broadcasts on CBBC and BBC iPlayer, and have also been broadcast as part of Saturday Mash-Up!

The anime has also been broadcast on Cartoon Network and Disney XD in various regions.
