On 30 October, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1963 - James Mudie, head of Scenic Servicing for Television, complained to Joanna Spicer about the work load being placed on his department by Doctor Who. He concluded in the memo that the programme should be cancelled before the first episode is even transmitted, feeling that a great deal of money is being wasted that could take down the whole industry.
- 2015 - Recording for And You Will Obey Me took place at The Moat Studios.
