A peacoat was an item of clothing famous for use by the US Navy and the Kriegsmarine during World War 2.
The Eight Doctor wore a double breast peacoat of navy leather with anchor symbols on its gold buttons with an alabaster t-shirt. (AUDIO: Fugitives, etc)
