On 11 October, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1963 - Director Christopher Barry outlined his initial thoughts on serial B to script editor David Whitaker. At this stage they thought they were making a story called The Mutants, but posterity would remember the story as The Daleks — the story that turned Doctor Who into "must see TV".
- 1963 - The fight between Za and Kal in the final episode of An Unearthly Child finishes being filmed at Ealing Studios. (INFO: An Unearthly Child)
- 1968 - Episode four of The Invasion was recorded at Lime Grove Studios D. (TCH 13)
- 2007 - Recording for Masters of War took place at The Moat Studios.
- 2016 - Recording for All Hands on Deck and A Small Semblance of Home took place at The Moat Studios.
- 2018 - Recording for The Third Doctor Adventures: Volume Five took place at WiseBuddah.
