Maximediras was an Earth colony world originally owned by IMC until they sold it to a subsidiary. Its surface was comprised of 97% water and 3% land, with some mineral wealth, and was inhabited by the microscopic Maximedirans living in the sea, who glowed when agitated. (AUDIO: Beyond the Sea)

Irving Braxiatel's people were doomed, but he planned to bring them back and make Maximediras their new homeworld. He purchased the planet under the pretense of creating a museum there, and he used strong-arm tactics to urge the residents to clear it. He also used a energy siphon to relocate the dense energy field around the Braxiatel Collection to near Maximediras, since his people would need "a great deal of power" to be who they were. He planned to let the water-dwelling natives to stay, suggesting that they could work for his people and that the new citadels would float on the oceans.

However, the Deindum became aware of the energy field and planned to attack Maximediras to claim the energy field first. (AUDIO: Resurrecting the Past) They attacked an empty city, demolishing the city hall and recycled the rubble into their base of operations. They shot fire over the survivors that tried to escape across the planet's oceans. The planet was later turned into a prisoner of war camp during the Deindum War. (PROSE: Present Danger)

Hass made his way to Maximediras to find Lianna Martin in the prisoner of war camp. He was visited by Braxiatel, who convinced him to unleash the radiation in his encounter suit. The radiation killed all the Deindum on Maximediras, in addition to the prisoners. (AUDIO: Escaping the Future)

Behind the scenes

  • The planet Maximediras, created by Eddie Robson, had many conceptual similarities to the story that he pitched for The Book of the War.[1] Notably, the name "Maximediras" extremely closely resembled the title "Minimeridas", and, like the planet Acanibus, Maximediras was a water planet whose underwater inhabitants fought off colonisers. Braxiatel's plan to bring his people back to Maximediras also parallels Acanibus' transformation into a duplicate Gallifrey.
