Robert Scarratt was a near-renegade War-time agent of the Great Houses. He chose his name to evoke those of the lesser species. (PROSE: The Book of the War)

History

Scarratt was a member of House Xianthellipse. According to some rumours, he was born of a natural childbirth.

At the age of 20, Scarratt was stationed at a monitoring post near a planet that was supplying Xianthellipse with praxis. He became addicted to praxis. Under the influence of praxis, he single-handedly defused a local uprising, though The Book of the War judged it likely that the official report ignored any native assistance.

Scarratt went through a series of promotions and demotions which eventually resulted in him becoming a Commander. During this time, Scarratt spent a great deal of time travelling through time and space by himself. He visited Utterlost, became a student of Georg Hegel, gave advice to both sides in the Vietnam War. (PROSE: The Book of the War)

Despite already having been intensively trained, Scarratt enrolled as a cadet at the Gauntlet in the hopes of becoming permanently scarred in one of its frequent duels. He had a duel with the second incarnation of Chris Cwej; Scarratt's wounds healed without trace, much to his disgust, whereas Cwej was left with scars on his neck and forehead. (PROSE: The Book of the War, The V Cwejes)

In a potential timeline, Scarratt was the captain of The Brakespeare. He was a replacement for the original captain Tancreevee. (PROSE: The Brakespeare Voyage)

Scarratt once sent a memo to Nybeckarlaxinthelle concerning the activity of the Hussar and the Kraken. (PROSE: Weapons Grade Snake Oil)

Though Scarratt's corpse was located in 27th century Vienna, he joined Faction Paradox as Little Brother Ratas de la Cicatriz. (PROSE: Subjective Interlock)
