Bayeux Tapestry
The Bayeux Tapestry was an embroidered cloth depicting events from England's history.
Charley Pollard once told the Eighth Doctor that she knew the Bayeux Tapestry depicted the Norman conquest. (AUDIO: Seasons of Fear) The Fourth Doctor described a book on Swampie history as "a sort of Bayeux Tapestry with footnotes". (TV: The Power of Kroll) The Tenth Doctor knew that history had been altered when he saw that the Bayeux Tapestry had changed. (PROSE: Hold Your Horses)
The Doctor's TARDIS appeared in the Bayeux Tapestry. (COMIC: Hunters of the Burning Stone, Untitled) In 2005, when whoisdoctorwho.co.uk published an article about the Doctor's involvement in the Dummy Massacre, a commenter named bobby suggested the website's former owner, Clive Finch, look at images of the tapestry, as it depicted the Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler standing next to the blue box. (PROSE: The Doctor Was Involved in the Dummy Massacre)
In the Starless world, Rory Williams became Harold Godwinson's favoured general. The Pandorica and Rory as the "Constant Warrior" were depicted in the Bayeux Tapestry. (PROSE: The Constant Warrior)
