Snowglobe 7 (novel)

Snowglobe 7 was the twenty-third novel in the BBC New Series Adventures series. It was written by Mike Tucker and featured the Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones.
Publisher's summary
Earth, 2099. Global warming is devastating the climate. The polar ice caps are melting.
In a desperate attempt at preservation the Governments of the world have removed vast sections of the Arctic and Antarctic and set them inside huge domes across the world. The Doctor and Martha arrive in Snowglobe 7 in the Middle East, hoping for peace and relaxation. But they soon discover that it's not only ice and snow that has been preserved beneath the Dome.
While Martha struggles to help with an infection sweeping through the holidaymakers the Doctor discovers an alien threat that has lain hidden since the last ice age. A threat that is starting to thaw.

Worldbuilding
- Sycorax and the Slitheen family are mentioned as aliens with whom Earth has had hostile encounters. Svillia and the Hive of Mooj are mentioned as aliens with whom Earth has had benign encounters.
- Martha mentions Elton John, and the Doctor claims to have gotten a large pair of sunglasses from either him or the Mogadeesh of Replanak.
- The Doctor tells Martha of a hotel called The Rose Tower and Martha compares this to his previous companion Rose Tyler.
Notes
- This story was also released as an ebook available from the Amazon Kindle store.
- This story bears some simalarities to TV: Orphan 55, which was released in 2020. It has a Holiday Dome, simalar to Tranquility Spa in the latter story, and it is set on a future Earth with Global warming problems, similar to the Future Earth which was devastated by global warming in the latter story.
